The Ask, Plan and Agent modes
The mode tells the agent whether it may modify your project. It is set conversation by conversation. This page helps you choose the right one.

All three modes call the model: Ask and Plan use your quota too.
Switch mode
Section titled “Switch mode”The mode does not change while an agent is working. You have three ways:
- the selector on the left under the message box;
- the commands
/agent,/askor/plan, alone or followed by your request:/plan add a shopsends the request in Plan mode; - the Planifier les étapes (Plan the steps) button, which toggles between Plan and Agent.
The windows of the Overview have neither selector nor commands: they keep the mode of their conversation.
The agent carries out the requested actions itself, with the tools of its profile.
For a question about your island or your project. The agent can:
- read the project’s files and the Noteboards;
- use the reading tools of its connections;
- search the web and read pages;
- load Skills.
It cannot write a file, generate an image or a 3D model, use a connection tool that changes something, or delegate. If it tries, the call is refused: “Les modes Ask et Plan autorisent uniquement les lectures vérifiées. Passez en mode Agent pour proposer cette action.” (The Ask and Plan modes only allow verified reads. Switch to Agent mode to propose this action.)
The same rights as Ask. The agent inspects the project, then proposes steps, prerequisites and checks. A plan on its own launches nothing:
- Switch to Plan mode and describe your goal.
- Read the plan. Correct it by replying in the conversation.
- Switch to Agent mode.
- Ask for the plan to be carried out.
When the agent publishes its plan, it also appears in the Activité (Activity) panel.
Read-only profiles
Section titled “Read-only profiles”Reviewer and Analyste tendances (Trends Analyst) always work in Ask, like any profile whose Lecture seule (Read-only) box is ticked. Choosing one of these profiles in a conversation switches it to Ask. The Analyste tendances only writes its analyses, in Tendances Maps (Map Trends).
