Tripo

Tripo is an online service that generates 3D models from a text or from images. Island Pilot calls it directly with your API key. It is not offered by the 3D choice: you install it yourself, project by project.

  1. Open Connexions (Connections) in the sidebar, then click Installer (Install) on the Tripo card. The details page opens.
  2. In Configuration, tick Activer cette connexion (Turn on this connection).
  3. Paste your key into Clé API Tripo (Tripo API key), then click Enregistrer la clé (Save the key).
  4. Check the message, for example “Tripo connecté · clé API vérifiée · 120 crédits” (Tripo connected · API key verified · 120 credits).

The key stays in the Windows vault and is used for all your projects. But the connection is installed in each project.

A conversation with no profile has access to Tripo as soon as the connection is turned on. No specialist receives it automatically: use Accès des agents › Choisir les agents autorisés (Agent access › Choose the authorised agents), in the Aperçu (Overview) and Outils (Tools) tabs of the details page.

When a request names images or models from the project, Island Pilot sends them to Tripo: 8 files at most per task, 20 MB per image, 150 MB per model. Accepted formats: PNG, JPEG and WebP; GLB, glTF, FBX, OBJ and STL.

Generations use the credits of your Tripo account. The message on the details page shows your balance. To find out the real cost of a task or the credits reserved, ask an agent: these reads generate nothing and also work in Ask mode.

  • The conversation card tracks the task as long as it is visible. At the end, the result is saved as Pilot/Generated/<task id>/Tripo-<id>.<format>, without overwriting any file.
  • Tripo supplies a single model, whose format depends on the task: GLB, FBX or an archive, for example. For another format, ask for a conversion.
  • Exporter dans le projet (Export to the project) retrieves the model or its preview image if the card has not already done so. The limit is 150 MB.
  • The 3D preview only works with a standalone GLB.
  • Nothing is imported automatically into UEFN or Blender.

Tripo’s links expire: retrieve the result soon after it finishes. The result then appears in Assets.

  • Island Pilot cannot delete a task on Tripo.
  • As with Meshy, an identical creation within the same request reuses the existing task, and Reprendre (Resume) does not rerun a creation that has already been accepted. To generate again, send a new message. See Meshy.
  • After a dropped connection, the creation may have been accepted: the agent must find the task in your account before creating another.
