The licence and the computer

Your licence is tied to your account, and it works on one computer at a time. This page explains how it activates and what you see in the app.

Most of the time, you have nothing to enter. Sign in to Island Pilot with the email address of your purchase: the licence is already linked to this account and activates by itself.

If you sign in with a different address, or if you received the 2nd seat of a Duo plan as a key:

  1. Open Paramètres › Compte et licence (Settings › Account and licence).
  2. In Activer une clé (Activate a key), paste your key into the Clé de licence (Licence key) field.
  3. Click Activer (Activate). The key is then linked to this account.

The key is shown in full in your client area, where it is also called Licence key. In the app, only its end remains visible. It is personal: do not publish it or share it, except to hand over the 2nd seat of a Duo plan.

If the client area says the key can no longer be shown, write to contact@saulcorp.com: you will receive a new one.

Each seat can be used by one person, on one computer at a time. The licence cannot be shared. To move to another PC, you must release the previous one: see Change computer.

Your projects and conversations stay on the computer where they were created.

Open Paramètres › Compte et licence.

Line What it shows
Licence Active or Verrouillée (Locked), with the reason
Clé (Key) The end of your key
Connexion (Connection) Permanente (Permanent): your account stays signed in on this PC
Ordinateurs (Computers) The number of registered computers, for example 1 sur 1 (1 of 1)
Statut (Status) Active, à vie (Active, for life) or Accès fermé (Access closed)

The Ordinateur (Computer) section lists this PC, the date it was added and its last check. Your client area also shows it, under Your computer.

Island Pilot checks the licence online at activation, then regularly, at least every 72 hours. This happens in the background, so you have nothing to redo. The Vérifier maintenant (Check now) button runs the check straight away.

The licence does not last 72 hours: it is granted with no time limit. That interval only applies to the check.

The data transmitted is listed in Your data.

Without a connection, Island Pilot carries on for the time left before the next mandatory check. Compte et licence then displays Hors ligne : fonctionne jusqu’au (Offline: works until), followed by the date and time.

Beyond that, the Reconnectez Island Pilot à Internet (Reconnect Island Pilot to the Internet) screen appears:

  • agents and tools pause;
  • your projects and conversations stay on your computer;
  • once you are back online, click Vérifier à nouveau (Check again).

All updates are included. An active licence is required to receive them. If SAUL CORP stopped distributing the software, it would warn you by email at least three months in advance.

A licence can be suspended or revoked, notably after a payment dispute. Each case is described in Licence refused.
