How it works
Island Pilot contains no AI. It connects tools you already have and makes your agents work with them. This page says who does what, what stays on your PC and what leaves it.
Who does what
Section titled “Who does what”| Element | Its role | Where it runs |
|---|---|---|
| Island Pilot | Organises conversations, starts the agents, checks every action, keeps the history | On your PC |
| Your AI account | Provides the model that thinks and writes | At your provider |
| UEFN | The editor where your island lives. Island Pilot connects to it through its MCP server, on your computer only | On your PC |
| Blender (optional) | The agents model, texture and rig in it. Same link, on your computer only | On your PC |
| Meshy (optional) | Generates models, textures, rigs and animations, with the credits of your account | At Meshy |
What happens to a request
Section titled “What happens to a request”- You write to an agent in a conversation.
- Island Pilot sends your provider your message, the agent’s guidelines, and the project’s instructions and memory.
- The model replies, or asks for a tool: reading a file, acting in the editor, generating an image.
- Island Pilot checks this call: the profile’s permissions, the conversation mode, the project folder, the identity of the island open in UEFN.
- The action runs and appears in Activité (Activity). Its result goes back to the model, which carries on.
- The agent hands control back with its report. You test, then you reply.
What stays on your PC
Section titled “What stays on your PC”- Projects, conversations, agent profiles, memory and settings, in a local database:
%USERPROFILE%\.island-pilot. - The files of your island and what the agents produce, in the project folder, including its
Pilotsubfolder. - Your keys and your session, in the Windows vault.
- The sessions of your AI accounts, managed by their own programs. Island Pilot neither reads nor copies these sign-in tokens.
What leaves, and who receives it
Section titled “What leaves, and who receives it”| Recipient | What is sent | When |
|---|---|---|
| Your AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenCode or xAI) | Your messages and attachments, the instructions and the project memory, and what the agents look at: files, logs, screenshots | With every request to an agent |
| Google (Gemini API) or xAI, if you have saved a key | The description and references of the image | With every image generated by that service |
| Meshy, Tripo or Higgsfield, if you have connected them | Your descriptions, your reference images, the models to transform | With every generation |
| SAUL CORP | Your account, an encrypted identifier of the computer, the installed version. A bug report only if you click Envoyer le rapport (Send the report) | When the licence is checked and when looking for updates |
| Public sites | The searches and pages read by the agents. The catalogue requests of Map Trends (FNTerminal, Roblox, Poki, FreeTopGames) | When an agent searches the web. At launch, then with Actualiser les sources (Refresh sources) |
SAUL CORP receives neither your projects nor your conversations. What you send to a provider follows its own terms: read them, especially if your project contains confidential material.
What Island Pilot writes elsewhere
Section titled “What Island Pilot writes elsewhere”Two items go outside the data folder, so that the connections work:
- In UEFN’s settings, the automatic start of its MCP server, with a backup copy of your settings.
- In Blender 5.1 or later, if it is present, the connection extension, installed when Island Pilot launches.
The Uninstall page says where to find them.
